Dear Diary,
It was a holiday today, so I decided to take myself out on a date. Its something a lot of people like to do here, to go out by themselves. Its something I could have never imagined doing back home. Everyone was always urging me to make friends because loners are considered lonely. But I love my own company and this is a city that lets me embrace it. So, I stopped at a little cafe, bought myself a sandwich and a cold coffee, sent my colleague a bitter text about the exorbitant prices (its become somewhat of a tradition between us) and made my way to the seafront. It was a beautiful evening. The sun was setting the entire horizon was ablaze in a beautiful combination of pink, yellow and dark blue. Somewhere, an aspiring musician strummed a guitar.
