Jamdani weaving is highly time intensive and it takes anywhere between several weeks to months to weave one saree. It is indeed a labour of love.

Pujo was synonymous with Didun’s bari. She tried to remember each year in separate red envelopes. These cloth cases were saved in the corners of her mind. But however much she tried, the happy red bled into other psychological recesses. Thank god it did! Pujo at Didun’s house was a melting pot of endearing snippets.
