Late at night, while the world had drifted away into a deep, sound slumber, she quietly slipped on her shoes and padded into the woods behind their cottage. With only the quiet gurgling of the stream and the chirping of a wayward cricket for company, she lay down on the cool, moist grass. Above her, the majestic peaks of the Himalayas glimmered in the silvery moonlight. At once, they felt close enough to touch and yet so far away. They reminded her of how ancient the land they lived on was, and everything it had witnessed. Above all, they reminded her to be grateful for this patch of paradise.
Shine as bright as the full moon in this silver cotton and zari blouse.

This is a 4-layered multicoloured and white cotton quilt with beautiful kantha hand-embroidery and appliqué work on it. It is a timeless piece to be treasured!
This is a cotton quilt with hand-done kantha and appliqué work on it.Cotton fabric dates back to some of the most ancient civilizations and it has a strong presence in the modern homes as well. The incredible softness and lightness of cotton combined with its strength and versatility makes it one of the most popular choices across various home furnishing products, especially for the Indian climate. The comfort and the amazing feel that cotton offers is unparalleled.Kantha is traditional embroidery that originated from the nimble hands of industrious women who upcycled fabric bits by stitching them together and crafted a beautiful kaleidoscope of art in the process. It has since evolved into a stunning craft that is practiced by artisans through generations. Kantha refers to a specific kind of stitch, the most basic one being a simple, straight, running stitch. The artisans use this technique to create beautiful designs. Working on a design using kantha stitch completely is a fully hand-done, laborious process and thus each piece of work takes many weeks to be completed. As kantha work comes to life on fabrics, it transforms into a legacy that is often passed forward as heirloom.Appliqué work lends a magical beauty to the fabric with ornamental needlework bringing together pieces of fabric onto the base fabric and resulting in unique designs. Smaller pieces of fabrics are used to sew designs on top of the larger fabric, creating a delightful kaleidoscope of patterns and colours. This technique was originally used to extend the life of fabrics and later evolved into an art-form by itself.

She would wear the moon on her finger and, like it, continue to shine her brightest, no matter how dark the night.

Moha Ki Dasha

Length: 6.20 Meters ; Width: 45 inches
Fabric: Tussar silk
Note: The mannequin is wearing a blouse called Rust Eri
The Tussar silk is a material that is synonymous with richness and lush beauty. This material is woven using silk threads obtained from the cocoons of silkworms belonging to the moth genus Antheraea. Since most of these silkworms are found in forest areas, Tussar silk is also known to be a wild silk variety or a forest product. The characteristic features of this material are the deep gold colour that the silk exudes and the amazing texture. This kind of silk is thicker than normal silk but needs to be taken care of and preserved since the fibres are shorter and can result in a decrease in durability. But then, anything precious has to be taken care of, right? The natural sheen of this fabric is inimitable and is perfect for festive occasions as well as when you want the spotlight on you! The magical feel of this fabric combined with the weaving skills of talented weavers results in a fabric that will embrace you and make you shine!

On the radio, the weatherman chattered excitedly about the approach of the season’s first showers. A faint rumble rose in the distance, perfectly on cue.
She threw off her sandals and raced down the long, narrow corridor that wound away from her home, opening up to the fields. She felt the cold concrete yield to bare earth under her soles, the soil shifting ever so slightly as though, like her, it was impatient to witness the bounty it would birth and nurture. The earth was uneven, scattered with jagged pebbles; but each had its place in nature’s perfect symmetry. The air was moist and heavy with trepidation. It had been many long months of waiting, hoping and longing. But, like all difficult phases, this drought too had come to an end. It was time to leave the past behind and celebrate a new start.
This earth-toned handloom cotton saree will elevate your spring wardrobe.
The handloom cotton is a type of fabric that is woven using hand-operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a mechanised loom operated by weavers. These looms do not use electricity. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value. The resultant fabric is softer, more durable and much more comfortable than machine-made fabrics. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and provides more insulation in winters. The dyeing process also becomes easier for handloom cotton as the colour penetration is substantially more. Hues are absorbed better thus look resplendent on handloom cotton. The art of hand-weaving is labour intensive and takes a longer time. But, the beauty it adds to the fabric is priceless. Choosing handloom cotton supports the rich weaving heritage of India and lets the weavers carry on the precious art-form to the future generations as well.

Her passion is fluid.
It finds journeys within journeys, it finds meanings in the hustle as well as the pauses. She breathes passion, even in the calmest moments. For it was never about finding one passion in life, it is life itself that consumes her!
This is a handcrafted, handloom mulberry silk saree in pink and brown hues, with exquisite batik work.
Batik is a wax-based resist-dying technique that is said to have originated in Java, Indonesia. To make a batik, hot wax is applied to selected areas of the design to create blocks. The cloth is then dipped in dye. The parts of the design covered in wax resist the dye and retain their original colour. This process is repeated several times to create elaborate and vibrant designs. Batik is a very labour-intensive process. Since the wax is applied by hand by our artisans and the dying process does not occur in very controlled environments, there are always slight variations in the colour and design owing to the climate, temperature and other external factors. For this collection, Batik has been created on a canvas of handwoven mulberry silk, which is lightweight, easy to drape and lends an effortless elegance to the wearer. These sarees have been crafted by Suta's artisans in West Bengal.

Her travels had taken her to the finest patisseries and the most exquisite confectioners. She’d tasted the most expensive chocolates – the ones filled with the finest liqueurs, made of the most exquisite cocoa and packaged in the shiniest boxes. But her inner child laughed with glee when she came across a box of mithai her cousin greeted her with, upon her return. The delicious flavours of milk and sugar, tempered with time, skill and love had a homeliness that few other delicacies could match. For, no matter where she ate a piece of mithai, it would always remind her of home.
Travel back in time to your most cherished memories, when you wear this lovely red and white blouse made of modal viscose.
Viscose and modal are bio-based fibres derived from plants. They are extracted from a compound called cellulose, which lends stiffness and support to plants. This cellulose is realigned to create a fabric that is soft, durable and breathable. When both the fibres are combined, modal imparts lightness and a rich feel to the fabric. Both the fibres are responsibly sourced and have a low carbon footprint.

She fondly remembers Hasham. He surreptitiously entered their tea-time banter, accompanied the couple on long walks and watched them chat at the dinner table. He was long gone from her life, but the remnants of the days they’d spent together followed her around. “Where did he go? Which class were you in?” her husband asks. “I was too young to remember what happened. When I returned from school one day, he wasn’t waiting at the gate.” But could she really forget the Gujarat of those days?
The thought of it… she swiftly engages herself in household chores. Represses fear and that knot in her throat.
She chooses the bits she wants to remember. The badam oil champis, a second or third helping of chilled orange drinks, clay toys, jute leaf fritters and lavenders.
Fields of lavender in a sleepy Himachali hamlet beckoned to her. Is Hasham waiting a little ahead of those fields?
Face your feelings in this mesmerising lavender handwoven mul cotton saree with ruffles. The hand-sewn chumkis and golden border will light up your day.
Suta’s ‘made in heaven’ mul cotton is also known as mul mul in West Bengal. The fabric is buttery soft and has a delicate beauty.
